IFAD Partnership Launch

We have partnered with Interswitch, Ria Money Transfer, the Kenya Diaspora Alliance, Nyumba Mkononi, and others to launch the Affordable Remittances and Enhanced Financial Inclusion Program. This initiative aims to tap into Kenya’s multi-billion shilling diaspora market, offering customized money transfer solutions.

With an estimated $4 billion sent home annually, diaspora remittances are a vital source of foreign exchange and capital flow for Kenya. The program seeks to channel these funds to rural communities, leveraging community networks, Saccos, and digital money transfer platforms for quicker and more convenient transfers to beneficiaries. Co-funded by the European Union and IFAD, this project aims to boost the Kenyan economy.
