More DetailsPatience Munene-Karanja is a seasoned HR professional with over 13 years of experience in Human Resources consulting and practice within the Big 4 consulting and Banking industries. She holds a first-class Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Operations Management from the University of Nairobi and a Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management from the College of Human Resource Management. Currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration from Liverpool John Moores University, Patience also holds the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) certification (level 2) and is working towards the Certified Human Resource Management Professional (CHRP) certification.
Prior to joining Credit Bank PLC, Patience worked as the Head of Human Resources at DIB Bank Kenya, where she led a successful culture change program that significantly improved staff engagement and productivity, resulting in the bank-breaking even in November 2023. She also served as the Head of Human Resources at Access Bank Kenya, where she played a key role in the people transition process from Transnational Bank to Access Bank post-merger. Patience has previous experience as a Manager in HR Consulting at both KPMG East Africa and Deloitte East Africa.
Patience’s expertise spans talent management, organization design and development, performance management, compensation and benefits, change management, HR administration, development of HR policies, learning and development, and staff engagement. She is deeply passionate about the people agenda and driving a high-performance culture through employee engagement initiatives. Patience is a full Member of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM), Kenya, and holds a valid practicing certificate.
