Credit Bank appoints Mrs. Betty Korir as the Chief Executive Officer
The Board of Directors of Credit Bank Limited have today announced the appointment of Mrs. Betty Korir as the Chief Executive Officer of the Bank effective 1st October 2017.
Betty has served at Credit Bank as the Head of Credit overseeing Credit and Legal departments for the past 4 years and has over 20 years Banking Experience spanning across several Banks. She also served as a deputy to the previous CEO.
She is a holder of a Bachelor of Education Degree, Bachelor of Laws (Hons) LLB and a Master’s in Business Administration (Finance / Marketing) from the University Nairobi. She is an associate of the Kenya Institute of Bankers (AKIB) and Global Association of Finance and Management (GAFM) and Chartered Credit Analyst (CCA).
Speaking on behalf of the Board, Hon Simeon Nyachae, the Chairman of the Board said, “Mrs. Betty Korir is an experienced and talented banker who we are confident will continue to build on Credit Bank’s reputation for integrity, innovation and stability. We are looking forward to achieving and celebrating great milestones under her stewardship.”
In her appointment, Mrs. Korir noted that presiding over Credit Bank is a welcome challenge that she is honored to accept. “I am humbled and honored to be given an opportunity to lead this great institution. I have a great and talented team that is capable of re-defining the Credit Banks’ space in the Banking Industry as one of the greatest and solid financial Institutions. I am confident that with the support of the Board members and shareholders, the Bank shall move to greater heights’’.
