Mrs. Grace Nyachae is a founding director of Credit Bank PLC. She worked in the Civil Service for 11 years and has vast experience in managing businesses especially in the agricultural sector. She sits on various boards including H.C.D.A, Sotik Tea Company Limited, Sansora Group of Companies, among others.
Mrs. Betty is a holder of two Bachelor’s Degrees (Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Law with Honors) and has a Master’s Degree in Finance/Marketing from the University of Nairobi.
She is a member of Global Association of Finance and Management (GAFM), Chartered Credit Analyst (CCA) and an Associate of Kenya Institute of Bankers being a finalist in Banking Professional Qualification (AKIB) in addition to holding various risk management certifications.
Mrs. Betty, equally, has international exposure in project finance and sustainable lending acquired from Triodos Bank in the UK.
Mr. Ketan Morjaria is a UK qualified Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in financial management, risk management, controls and fraud. He has over 18 years’ business experience in Africa and the United Kingdom. He has been integrally involved in the establishment and development of Orient Bank Limited in Uganda, where he is also the Vice Chairman and a major shareholder. He has previously served as Managing Director and Executive Chairman of Orient Bank. He has been a Shareholder in Credit Bank PLC since its establishment and has served on the board of the bank for several years and chaired key board committees.
Mr. Robinson Gachogu is a Bachelor of Commerce graduate and a qualified Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in financial management. He has over 40 years of experience in the financial sector. He serves in various boards including Kenya Commercial Bank.
Mr. Jay Karia is a British national with vast experience in manufacturing, trading and banking in Kenya and Uganda. He has certifications in corporate governance with specialty in performance and sustainability. He is a shareholder and director of Orient Bank Limited, a director and shareholder of Credit Bank PLC.
Dr. James Mathenge is a former long-serving permanent secretary and career administrator. He has served as Chairman of Public Service Commission, Chairman of Kirinyaga Technical Institute (now Kirinyaga University College) and Chairman of Kenya Freedom from Hunger Council & Board Member. He is on several boards in the Anglican Church of Kenya and has also served as of board member of several private and public companies.
Dr. Mathenge is the current Chairman of Fair Acres Ltd (a real estate company) and Fair Acres Hortec Ltd (an agricultural company).
Mr. Moses Mwendwa is a Kenyan national with vast qualifications in the accounting field. He has a Higher Diploma in Accountancy awarded by the Association of Accountants in East Africa and is a finalist of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). He is an experienced financial and tax advisor with specialist knowledge in sourcing credit finance for corporate, groups and individuals. He has worked as a director in firms of professional accountants and management consultants for more than 30 years advising clients on capital investments and investment appraisals.
Leon Nyachae an architect and entrepreneur with more than 15 years of experience in various Kenyan businesses, he is currently the Managing Director of Sansora Group.
Mr Nyachae is a qualified architect with a particular interest in sustainable and affordable housing development. He currently manages a diversified conglomerate with interests in real estate, farming and financial services. He also serves as a Non-executive director of Kenindia Assurance Company, Paper House of Kenya and Sotik Tea Company.
Leon holds a Bachelor’s degree and Post Graduate Diploma in Architecture from Oxford Brookes University and is a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).
Jack Ngare has more than 15 years of experience in various business functions. Mr. Ngare is currently a Managing Director at Africa Development Centre, Microsoft in Kenya.
Mr. Ngare brings a wealth of in-depth knowledge around topics like management, telecommunications, financial services and emerging technology. Prior to working at Africa Development Centre, he held others positions including Managing Director at Finserve Africa, Chief Technical Officer at Equity Bank, Head, Technology Operations and Regional Information Risk and Security at Stanbic Bank, Head of IT Regional Support and Information Security at NIC Bank, as well as spending seven years at British Telecom with assignments in the UK, Saudi Arabia, Peru and Japan.
With a Master’s degree in management from Harvard University, Mr. Ngare also holds a Master’s degree in advanced computer science and a Bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Leicester.

Mrs. Betty Korir
Mrs. Korir joined Credit Bank PLC in June, 2013 and has 20 years Banking Experience spanning across several Banks. She is a holder of Bachelor of Ed. Degree, Bachelor of Laws (Hons) LLB and a Master’s Degree in Finance/Marketing from University of Nairobi.

Eric Nyachae has more than fifteen years in the banking industry. He has vast working experience in Credit, Banking Operations, Marketing, Corporate Banking and Business Development. He currently holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from King Alfred’s College of higher Education and a HND in Business Studies from the Salisbury College of technology.
Mr. Nyachae has been largely involved in growing Credit Bank’s portfolio and customer base and has worked very closely with Risk and Compliance to ensure effective controls in the bank’s operations are met to mitigate business risks. He has also been very instrumental in ensuring continuous improvement in customer service and maintaining stable customer-staff relationship.
Jackson Njenga joined Credit Bank PLC in January 2009 and has over 18 years’ experience in finance field both in Banking and Insurance. He is a Certified Public Accountant – CPA(K), Certified Public Secretary – CPS(K) and member of both the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) and Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya (ICPSK). He holds an MBA degree from the University of Nairobi (Strategic Management). He is also a member of The Institute of Risk Management (IRM), London.
Jackson Joined the Bank as the Chief Finance officer. After leading the finance function of the Bank for nine and a half years, Jacksons current role is in Risk Management and compliance involving overseeing the development and implementation of an integrated Risk and compliance framework in the Bank, risk governance framework including developing policies, supported by controls, procedures and processes for risk identification, evaluation/assessment, monitoring and mitigation strategies, spearheading internal reviews for assessing banks compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and own policies and procedures and also Business Continuity Management/Disaster Recovery Planning.
Mr. Daniel Lesirma has over 15 years progressive experience in Finance at senior and executive levels in various organizations. He is a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya. He joined the bank in March 2016. Mr. Lesirma’s immediate posting was at Fountain Microfinance Bank where he was the Head of Finance.
He previously worked at Millwardbrown East Africa Limited (now Kantar Kenya), a fully owned subsidiary of WPP – Scan group Limited as the Finance Manager. Prior to that he worked at Sotik Tea Companies as the Manager Finance. He has also worked at Ogilvy & Mather (East Africa) Ltd, as Finance Manager.
Having previously worked with affiliates and subsidiaries of Publicly Listed companies in the New York Stock Exchange and London Stock Exchange, he has a strong grasp of finance procedures and Controls emanating from Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) Audit exposure borrowed from Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, a federal law that created legislation to help Protect Shareholders, employees and the public from accounting errors and fraudulent financial practices. He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (Finance Option), from the University of Nairobi, and is a Member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya.
Mr. Lesirma also holds a Certificate in Business Analytics from the Harvard Business School. He is currently pursuing a professional course that will see him qualify as a Certified Investments & Financial Analyst (CIFA).
Mr. Nduvi’s educational credentials include a degree in Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting Option) from Kenyatta University, CPA II and Completing a Masters in Economics (Policy Analysis) at the University of Nairobi. He is also a member of Kenya Institute of Management, Institute of Directors Kenya (IOD-K), Member of SALT Leadership Programme – KHP; Intercessors for Africa. He has also attended various professional training courses which include; Enterprise Risk Management Course by KPMG, Risk Based Internal Auditing by KPMG, Corporate Governance by IOD-K, Servant Leadership by SALT Leadership – KHP, trainings in AML/CTF and KYC best practices, Computer Crimes and Security Systems, Fraud Detection, Investigation and Management, Credit Management and Taking of Collaterals and Leadership for Successful Performance by CBL PLC. He has over 12 years of experience in the banking industry.
Prior to joining Credit Bank, Isaac had worked for Equity Bank in various capacities and in Risk Management & Compliance. He joined Credit Bank in 2008 and has been part of Senior Management Managing Enterprise Risks for the bank which has seen the bank grow from 4 (four) branches to 17 (seventeen) branches (current number of branches) with full operational alternate delivery channels in Internet Banking and Mobile Banking services.
His passion is seeing Credit Bank economically empower every enterprising citizen while promoting and maintaining safety, soundness and integrity of the banking systems through implementation of sound policy and standards framework in line with best banking practices set by Central Bank of Kenya.
Mr. Kibara is a fully qualified accountant, CPA (K) and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountant (ICPAK) In addition, he has a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) Degree from University of Nairobi having graduated in December 2007. He has attended numerous professional development and leadership courses in internal control, fraud detection, IT Audit and quality management audits.
With over 13 years’ experience in Finance, internal and external audit, he is currently working as Credit Bank’s Chief Manager Operations & Branches.
Before joining Credit Bank, he worked as an internal audit officer at the African Banking Corporation Ltd (ABC Bank) for two years. He has previously worked as an accountant with an Insurance Brokerage firm and with an audit firm, Erastus & Co. Nairobi, between August 2002 and December 2004.
In his internal audit career, he has uncovered and frustrated frauds running to several millions. In 2010, for example, he uncovered and helped prosecute a fraud running to over KES 50 Million. The case is still in court today. He has also introduced a risk-based audit planning system, audit programmes, audit rating of branches and head office and recruited and developed internal audit staff. He is a committed Christian and member of Kenya Anglican Men’s Association (KAMA).
A Certified Treasury professional (ACI DC) with 8 Years’ experience across various treasury functions. John holds a Bachelor of Commerce (accounting) from University of Nairobi and Associates of Kenya Institute of Bankers (AKIB) finalist.
Prior to joining Credit Bank PLC, he worked as Head of Trading at African Banking Corporation where he was instrumental in growing Treasury business.
He possesses comprehensive knowledge of Trading Systems, Treasury products and Risk Management. His ambition is to grow Credit Banks treasury business to achieve world class standards through adoption of new technology, strong risk management and use of specialized products.
Francis is a legal expert with over 15 years’ experience. He is a Certified Public Secretary (CPSK), a Notary Public, Commissioner for Oaths, and a Qualified HR Practitioner. His areas of interest include corporate and commercial law, banking and finance law, labour law, dispute resolution, legal risk management and compliance, debt recovery, leadership and corporate governance.
Previously, Francis has held various roles in the private sector having served at law firms such as Kipkenda, Lilian & Koech Advocates. He has a Bachelor of Law Degree from Moi University, a Post Graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law and a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from the Institute of Human Resource Management.
In his current role at Credit Bank, Francis is charged with the responsibility of identifying gaps and coming up with effective process flows, structures and policies, developing strategies for the proper administration of the bank’s bad book and managing the conveyancing, recovery and commercial litigation processes effectively. He is also an advisor to both the Board and Management Team and a Secretary to the Board Executive and Management Executive Committees.
Zadock Ogambi is a seasoned banker with over 12 years’ experience and a great wealth of expertise in Credit Risk Analysis, Portfolio Management and Reporting, Credit Administration and Internal Audit. Prior to joining Credit Bank, Zadock led a cross-section of teams in ensuring prudent credit and risk assessment controls are in place in Commercial Bank of Africa (CBA), Housing Finance and Consolidated Bank of Kenya.
Zadock has a Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Accounting from Kenyatta University and is currently pursuing his MBA in Project Management from the same university. He is also a fully qualified Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K), Certified Credit Professional (CCP) and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK).
In his current role at Credit Bank, Zadock is charged with the responsibility of ensuring that a quality lending portfolio is maintained in support of the bank’s business strategy.
Mr. Renson Okusimba has over 16 years work experience in accounting, Auditing and banking operations in various organizations, 9 years of which have been at Senior Management level. He joined the bank in July 2004 and has worked in Operations, Internal Audit, Branch, Training and Credit Administration units of the bank.
He started his career as an Accountant with Parkwest Kenya limited. He later worked as an Auditor with Nalin Shah and Company, an accounting and auditing firm. He has built a strong background on controls and procedures. He has other interests in Pension management, hence he is a Certified Trustee of Kenya. He holds a Masters of Business Administration degree, Finance option, from Kenya Methodist University.
He has a Bachelor of Commerce Accounting option degree from Catholic University of Eastern Africa. He is a certified public accountant of Kenya and a member of Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). He is also a Certified Information System Auditor (CISA). In addition, he is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Kenya. He is also serving on the Board of Trustees of Credit Bank Retirement Pension Scheme. He is the current Head of Audit with the Bank.
Francis Wamahiu has over 8 years’ experience in IT Banking. Having joined the bank in 2010, He has garnered extensive expertise and brings experience in providing leadership in ICT and Innovation.
He holds Masters in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Information Technology (BBIT).
