Mrs. Betty C. M Korir
Mrs. Korir joined Credit Bank PLC in June, 2013 and has 20 years Banking Experience spanning across several Banks. She is a holder of Bachelor of Ed. Degree, Bachelor of Laws (Hons) LLB and a Master’s Degree in Finance/Marketing from University of Nairobi.
On the professional front she is a member of Global Association of Finance and Management (GAFM), Chartered Credit Analyst (CCA) and an associate of Kenya Institute of Bankers being a finalist in Banking Professional Qualification (AKIB) in addition to holding various Risk Management Certifications.
Betty, equally, has international exposure in project finance and sustainable lending acquired from Triodos Bank in the UK.
Eric Nyachae has more than fifteen years in the banking industry. He has vast working experience in Credit, Banking Operations, Marketing, Corporate Banking and Business Development. He currently holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from King Alfred’s College of higher Education and a HND in Business Studies from the Salisbury College of technology.
Mr. Nyachae has been largely involved in growing Credit Bank’s portfolio and customer base and has worked very closely with Risk and Compliance to ensure effective controls in the bank’s operations are met to mitigate business risks. He has also been very instrumental in ensuring continuous improvement in customer service and maintaining stable customer-staff relationship.
Mr. Njenga is a Certified Public Accountant and member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). He holds an MBA degree from the University of Nairobi (Strategic Management) and is also a Certified Public Secretary and member of the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya (ICPSK).
He Joined Credit Bank PLC in January 2009 and has over 14 years’ experience in the finance field both in Banking and Insurance. Before joining Credit Bank Njenga was the Head of Finance at Oriental Commercial Bank Limited and had also worked for Apollo Insurance Limited in various capacities in Finance.
He has attended various professional trainings and forums by ICPAK, ICPSK and other trainings in the country and brings on board vast experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and taxation.
Pam Mutembei is a talented and seasoned executive with over 14 years of experience in financial services. She has Bachelor of Commerce credentials, Strategic Management in a Global Economy from London School of Economics and various professional certificates in leadership& Business Management including a Harvard Business School workshop on Value Innovation.
She brings a wealth of expertise with particular strengths in areas such as Business Development strategies, Marketing, Product Innovation, Offering financial strategy and long-term Brand oversight. With an abundance of experience, Pam has a strong understanding of various markets throughout the business sectors with specialty in SME’s.
Pam has worked with other leading financial institutions. She was responsible for spearheading several initiatives that have propelled the companies with whom she has worked for. Under her guidance, The Credit Bank Brand has undergone a stunning transformation. She has been instrumental in significantly increasing brand awareness and was part of the team that managed the expansion of Credit Bank by 6 branches in one and half years, to a total of 17 branches now.
In addition to her executive career, she serves on two advisory boards of private companies Pam is also deeply committed to women empowerment & mentorship & their growth in business. Over the past 5 years, she has established herself as a thought leader in the field of executive and financial expertise for SME business owners. She is the current patron of Credit Bank’s Business Hub that provides knowledge and training to SMEs.
Mr. Nduvi’s educational credentials include a degree in Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting Option) from Kenyatta University, CPA II and Completing a Masters in Economics (Policy Analysis) at the University of Nairobi. He is also a member of Kenya Institute of Management, Institute of Directors Kenya (IOD-K), Member of SALT Leadership Programme – KHP; Intercessors for Africa. He has also attended various professional training courses which include; Enterprise Risk Management Course by KPMG, Risk Based Internal Auditing by KPMG, Corporate Governance by IOD-K, Servant Leadership by SALT Leadership – KHP, trainings in AML/CTF and KYC best practices, Computer Crimes and Security Systems, Fraud Detection, Investigation and Management, Credit Management and Taking of Collaterals and Leadership for Successful Performance by CBL PLC. He has over 12 years of experience in the banking industry.
Prior to joining Credit Bank, Isaac had worked for Equity Bank in various capacities and in Risk Management & Compliance. He joined Credit Bank in 2008 and has been part of Senior Management Managing Enterprise Risks for the bank which has seen the bank grow from 4 (four) branches to 17 (seventeen) branches (current number of branches) with full operational alternate delivery channels in Internet Banking and Mobile Banking services.
His passion is seeing Credit Bank economically empower every enterprising citizen while promoting and maintaining safety, soundness and integrity of the banking systems through implementation of sound policy and standards framework in line with best banking practices set by Central Bank of Kenya.
Mr. Kibara is a fully qualified accountant, CPA (K) and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountant (ICPAK) In addition, he has a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) Degree from University of Nairobi having graduated in December 2007. He has attended numerous professional development and leadership courses in internal control, fraud detection, IT Audit and quality management audits.
With over 13 years’ experience in Finance, internal and external audit, he is currently working as the Head of Internal Audit at Credit Bank PLC.
Before joining Credit Bank, he worked as an internal audit officer at the African Banking Corporation Ltd (ABC Bank) for two years. He has previously worked as an accountant with an Insurance Brokerage firm and with an audit firm, Erastus & Co. Nairobi, between August 2002 and December 2004.
In his internal audit career, he has uncovered and frustrated frauds running to several millions. In 2010, for example, he uncovered and helped prosecute a fraud running to over KES 50 Million. The case is still in court today. He has also introduced a risk-based audit planning system, audit programmes, audit rating of branches and head office and recruited and developed internal audit staff. He is a committed Christian and member of Kenya Anglican Men’s Association (KAMA).
Azmina joined Credit Bank PLC in February 2014 as the Head of Human Resources & Administration. Her education credentials include a Master’s Degree in Business Administration in Human Resource Management from Heriot Watt University, U.K. and a Bachelor of Laws (Hons.) from the University of Nairobi. Azmina holds a post-graduate diploma in law and is a registered member of the Institute of Human Resource Management of Kenya (IHRM-K), the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) as well as the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya (ICPSK). She has over 16 years of management experience in various leadership positions.
In her current role, Azmina supports the Bank’s business and service units through recruitment, performance management, job design, reward and recognition, learning and development and staff welfare. As a member of the Executive Committee, she is also partly responsible for supporting the Banks strategy with regard to bottom-line performance. She has a team that directly reports to her but is responsible for the management and welfare of the entire staff complement numbering over 160.
Prior to her current appointment, Azmina worked for RSM Ashvir as the Human Resources & Legal Manager providing human resources and legal advisory services in both the private and public sectors conducting legal due diligence, structure analysis, HR audits, developing HR policies and procedures manuals, reviewing HR procedures, and compliance to laws (employment, company and others, where applicable) to leading players in the telecommunications, IT, construction, retail, banking and micro-finance sectors. She has also worked with Akamba Public Road Services Ltd, House of Manji Limited and Equatorial Commercial Bank (then known as Southern Credit Bank) in various other capacities.
Hannah is a seasoned banker with over 15 years of banking experience. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, a Diploma in IT and is a trained Business Mentor in (MSMEs) Micro, Small and Medium sized Enterprises. Hannah has grown her banking career starting from a teller, operations manager, branch manager in Co-operative Bank where she worked for 10 years, she later joined Chase Bank as a branch manager, then moved to NIC Bank in the capacity of a Business Development Manager.
Hannah has vast experience and a good understanding of branch management having gained exposure in various banks in Kenya. She has been able to steer our branches to grow business through acquisition of new customers, effective management of the existing booking, and driving each branch into profitability, in line with the banks strategic vision.
Isaac King’ori Mwangi
King’ori is a qualified Business Management graduate with 12 years’ wide experience in different aspects of business development within the banking sector having held various positions at Corporate, SME and Retail banking in Relationship Management, Business Development, Sales Management and direct sales delivery in Credit Bank, NIC Bank and Barclays Bank.
He has also been involved in the development of sales, relationship management and branch teams from inception through talent identification, coaching and mentorship in order to drive performance.
He has a strong track record in delivery of superior performance with notable awards and recognitions, be it at the individual level or through other people and teams. His ambition in CBL is to develop a robust Relationship Management team for the Corporate and SME Segment which will grow the business, deliver great results and nurture the existing clientele base.
A Certified Treasury professional (ACI DC) with 8 Years’ experience across various treasury functions. John holds a Bachelor of Commerce (accounting) from University of Nairobi and Associates of Kenya Institute of Bankers (AKIB) finalist.
Prior to joining Credit Bank PLC, he worked as Head of Trading at African Banking Corporation where he was instrumental in growing Treasury business.
He possesses comprehensive knowledge of Trading Systems, Treasury products and Risk Management. His ambition is to grow Credit Banks treasury business to achieve world class standards through adoption of new technology, strong risk management and use of specialized products.
Francis is a legal expert with over 15 years’ experience. He is a Certified Public Secretary (CPSK), a Notary Public, Commissioner for Oaths, and a Qualified HR Practitioner. His areas of interest include corporate and commercial law, banking and finance law, labour law, dispute resolution, legal risk management and compliance, debt recovery, leadership and corporate governance.
Previously, Francis has held various roles in the private sector having served at law firms such as Kipkenda, Lilian & Koech Advocates. He has a Bachelor of Law Degree from Moi University, a Post Graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law and a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from the Institute of Human Resource Management.
In his current role at Credit Bank, Francis is charged with the responsibility of identifying gaps and coming up with effective process flows, structures and policies, developing strategies for the proper administration of the bank’s bad book and managing the conveyancing, recovery and commercial litigation processes effectively. He is also an advisor to both the Board and Management Team and a Secretary to the Board Executive and Management Executive Committees.
John Baptist Gichuki has over 10 years’ experience in the banking industry and has garnered extensive knowledge and expertise in the field of Trade Finance. Prior to joining Credit Bank, John led teams in pioneering trade deal origination, structuring and operations in Equity Bank, Commercial Bank of Africa, amongst other financial institutions. He has vast experience in structuring transactions, trade operations acquired through experience. He has been exposed to other courses such as Harvard Manage Mentor, Credit training among others.
He holds Masters in Banking and Finance and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management specializing in Banking and Finance from Moi University.
John is passionate and committed to achieving and exceeding demanding targets and business objectives while remaining focused on providing an exceptional standard of service to clients with a value add.
In his current role at Credit Bank, John is charged with providing structured solutions that meet the specific client requirements in a manner that is operationally efficient, responsive to market dynamics and in line with the Bank’s overall objectives.
Zadock Ogambi is a seasoned banker with over 12 years’ experience and a great wealth of expertise in Credit Risk Analysis, Portfolio Management and Reporting, Credit Administration and Internal Audit. Prior to joining Credit Bank, Zadock led a cross-section of teams in ensuring prudent credit and risk assessment controls are in place in Commercial Bank of Africa (CBA), Housing Finance and Consolidated Bank of Kenya.
Zadock has a Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Accounting from Kenyatta University and is currently pursuing his MBA in Project Management from the same university. He is also a fully qualified Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K), Certified Credit Professional (CCP) and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK).
In his current role at Credit Bank, Zadock is charged with the responsibility of ensuring that a quality lending portfolio is maintained in support of the bank’s business strategy.
